Over 6000 years of video are uploaded to youtube per year. Sometimes, a brilliant labor of love is released into this hard world and the wind blows before it can hit everybody's radar. Lost & Found is a spotlight on some of these brilliant, fascinating, or wonderful videos that you may have not been lucky enough to catch the very day they were released.

This Portland duo are truly classic artists. They spend years meticulously creating the most intricate, large scale stop-motion videos. Each frame is sometimes individually carved or stained into wood, detailed models are sculpted and crafted, and live flame is utilized. The stories they tell with their ornate stop-motion are heart wrenchingly personal. Joyful and melancholic. Wes Anderson on his best day would be jealous.

When Billygoat performs, they project the 20 minute video onto a giant screen and play an epic post-rock score to the video on a variety of instruments, including bass guitar and harp. It’s truly haunting to witness. The duo chooses not to release the full work onto the internet to keep their live performance impactful and special. This clip is gorgeous on it’s own but only hints at how truly fantastic the full video with live score can be.

It’s only a matter of time until Björk finds they guys and takes them on the road with her.

More info on Billygoat can be found at here.
