It?s that time of year again, you guys. Time to throw all your belongings into the back of your Jeep Compass and drive 20 hours to Austin, TX for South by Southwest! IMVDb will be in Austin from Sunday through Thursday, primarily covering the music video competition, but also covering some other cool things happening at SXSW through interviews, blog posts, and secret notes hidden in an Ellis Bahl music video.
There will be a main screening of the music video program that takes place on Tuesday, March 11th from 11:00am ? 12:30pm, and an additional screening on Friday, March 14 from 9:30pm-11:00pm. You can see a full list, with credits, of all the videos included in the program here.
Some key differences between our coverage of this year?s SXSW compared to last year:
-Adam will not be traveling to Austin this year so he can stay back and man the home base, so Doug will be flying solo. Try to find him if you can, he gets lonely pretty easily.
-We are driving to Austin this year because it?s what all the cool kids seem to be doing. See you on I-10, cool kids!
-We have much fancier business cards this time around, because we?re serious about business.
-Bumping into Doug at SXSW will earn you a free IMVDb tshirt! So be sure to find this man! (Also, did we mention his loneliness? He?ll give you a tshirt to hang out with him for a few minutes, even if you are visibly unhappy the whole time you?re with him.)
