Each week, FRINGE MUSIC FIX culls the latest music video releases, carefully selecting the most bizarre, provocative, and remarkable videos from across the world.

Sit back, relax, and open your mind’s eye; things are about to get interesting. The following are our selections for the week ending September 21st, 2014.

Director Phoebe Arnstein unites the sensitive melodies of Brolin's soothing track, "Swim Deep", with a comparatively tender music video. The visual shows three couples (two men, two women, and a man and woman), in states of intimate bedroom relaxation and passion. The whole thing carries with it a passive message of equality.

Robyn's first Konichiwa Records signing, Zhala, and director Roxy Farhat marry Zhala's emotive and infectious single, "I'm In Love", with a beautiful music video depicting the unique and powerful bond shared between women. The video features Zhala's actual friends and family in a literal and metaphorical hair braiding circle.

Frequent touring and recording member of Nine Inch Nails, Allesandro Cortini, recruits directors Matt Sundin and Caspar Newbolt in the surreal and engaging video for "Thanks For Calling." Featuring one of the most unique narratives released the past couple of weeks, the video begins with a domestic dispute between a man and women driving at night, and takes a decidedly strange and mysterious turn at the midway point at which point things delve into the realm of cult cinema.

Charlie Robins and Chris Hugall's stylish and sexy music video for 2:54 was shot in London. The moody settings are perfectly suited to the post-rock/R&B musical styling of the group, fronted by sisters Collette and Hanna Thurlow.

Once again BANGS and Allie Avital Tsypin drops a music video that stands out among the rest of the weeks' releases with the video for The Knocks' "Classic." This time, with an intentionally more lighthearted outing than their usual fare, BANGS' tongue in cheek video collects summer tropes and filters them through a video game-inspired inspired lens. With an excellent cast, a sleek and simple set design, and an inarguable ear-worm of a single to back everything, Classic will definitely but a smile on your face.
