Biography


Daniel David John Adams-Ray (born 18 August 1983 in Nairobi, Kenya) is a Swedish rapper, singer and fashion designer. When Daniel was 14 years old he and his family moved to Lidingö, Sweden. Daniel didn’t want to move and he was bullied even though he came from a fortunate family. After graduating from that school he began to study at Viktor Rydberg Gymnasium where he met Oskar Linnros and together they created the hip-hop duo Snook in 2000. Daniel won Swedish gold in freestyle rap and became “Rapper of the year” in 2006, the year the group split up. During a fashion show 2009 Daniel produced some music which led to his solo career. He call his music “Kenyan pop-disco indie-punk”. His new music got inspired from Motown-disco, afro beat, hip-hop and 60s surf.
