“I love juxtapositions, especially those that tread the
line between happiness and sorrow. Whilst Sandy is an
upbeat and endearing track, it also explores dark
themes of loss. It’s this dualism that appealed to me and ultimately shaped the
idea. I wanted to experiment with the subversion of a funeral, taking the
ultimate ceremony of sadness and transforming it into a surreal celebration.
The loose narrative stems around our hero Alex who, through his sorrow and
music, is able to awaken the beautiful Sandy from the dead into a pastel
