Trivia

Temet Nosce was ready to film their newest music video “Rock the World” at the Pulpit Rock, one of Norway’s most visited natural tourist attractions. Forsand Municipality had granted the band a seldom permission, giving them the unique opportunity to conduct their original music video project.

The permission included helicopter landing on the plateau, which led unfortunately to “negative” reviews from the newspaper Aftenbladet and the appeal of the landing permit from the Nature Conservation Association (Naturvernforbundet). This resulted in full stop for the project.

Temet Nosce refused to give up and decided to engage 30 “helpers” to carry all the instruments up to the unique plateau 604 meters above the Lysefjord. Furthermore, they hired “drones” (electronic remote control helicopters) to film from the air.

The band applied for the second time and had now gotten green light to carry on with the project, despite skepticism from the county authorities.

There has never been a Norwegian video film production at Pulpit Rock!
No one carried musical instruments, including full drum set, up to the plateau before!
Pulpit Rock has never been filmed from the air by electronic helicopters!
