After several emails and fan requests, we’ve decided to actually follow through with posting the second edition of this blog series because, let’s face it: hip-hop YouTube comments aren’t getting any less complex. This month, we take on the issue of bitches, Nicki Minaj, and self-promotion.

We all know 2Pac is the high water mark when it comes to great rapper references. And because hyperbole runs wild in YouTube comments, it doesn’t take long to find someone comparing any artist to 2Pac, regardless of if that comparison if justified or not.

There is no shortage of spam when it comes to YouTube comments, especially on rap videos. Because what better way to follow up a deep, well-rounded comment on a video than with some good ol' fashion self-promotion?

The unfortunate downfall of a recommended videos algorithm based on the song title and genre. I guess it makes more sense to go in the other direction, but I guess that’s Lupe’s point. #deep
