DMX YouTube Comments

We took a month off to give Hip-Hop YouTube comments a chance to work out some of their complexities. They were unable to, and so here we are again. In this month’s edition, we take some time to examine truth, swag, and Hot Pockets.

meek mill
Comment found on Meek Mill feat Big Sean "Burn"

If you don't immediately know the bus drive Lee Hill is talking about, you clearly don't spend enough time on WorldstarHipHop. The bus drive in question is Artis Hughes, a man bus driver from Cleveland who uppercuted a lady passenger after she hit him and grabbed his neck. That uppercut was a harsh reaction to actually being assaulted, so imagine how people would feel if someone hit someone like that all because they thought Meek Mill’s lyrics were mediocre. Man, if someone did, I would definitely watch a video of it on WorldStar.

wiz nothing
Comment found on Wiz Khalifa feat 2 Chainz "It's Nothin"

I would normally not agree with this desire, but in this video, Wiz has on a giant headdress. So, you know what? In this case, I want his swag, too.

truth
Comment found on Gucci Mane "Truth"

TALLBOI13 might have a better time convincing people of his argument if his shift key wasn't broken on his keyboard.

el-p
Comment found on El-P "Stay Down"

It's amazing how someone can identify with a relatively complex hip-hop lyric (given the state of hip-hop lyrics these days), but at the same time show literally no understanding of word or sentence structure.

snoop
Comment found on Snoop Dogg feat DeStorm, Andy Milonakis "Pocket Like It's Hot"

It's hard to argue with facts. I guess I'm OK with it.

Non-Hip-Hop Honorable Mentions

Note: These last two examples aren't found on hip-hop videos, so they can't be on the official list. However, many of the classic hip-hop YouTube comment techniques are used here.

hiro
Comment found on David Guetta feat. Sia "She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)"

I tell you what, I wasn't convinced the first time. But, after the fourth comment, Horamus starting making a lot of sense.

deep
Comment found on The Shins "It's Only Life"

So true, GiantDoucheNG. So true.

el-p comments, gucci mane comments, the shins comments, youtube comments
