Anyone who was upset about the Miley Cyrus VMA performance last month might as well just look away now (this means you Mika Brzezinski) because it was nothing compared to Miley’s new video for "Wrecking Ball," directed by Terry Richardson. Throughout the video, Miley is seen wielding a sledgehammer, laying seductively in piles of concrete, and hanging from an actual wrecking ball - most of the time wearing nothing more than a pair of Doc Marten boots. Director Terry Richardson is known for exploring themes of sexuality in his work, often times with younger models, and having him direct this video suggests that Miley is looking to take the image she created for herself with the VMA performance and run with it. Despite being essentially a performance video, Miley captures tour attention immediately and doesn’t let go, something she’ll likely be doing for a while now, or at least until Mika Brzezinski can stop her.

"Wrecking Ball" was produced by Coleen Haynes, Arrow Kruse, and Adam Baxter for Black Dog Films and can be found on Miley’s upcoming album Bangerz.
