Finding a hardcore rock video is pretty rare these days. With the Best Rock Video category at the MTV VMAs featuring bands like Mumford & Sons and Vampire Weekend, the definition of a rock video is much different than it used to be. That’s why we’re really glad that bands like Avenged Sevenfold are around to continue to melt faces with their music and videos. Their new video, "Shepherd Of Fire," is dark and full of red lights, shadows, snakes, and projected flames. Wayne Isham, who has helmed videos for rock legends like Mötley Crüe, Judas Priest, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Metallica, and Megadeth, was the perfect choice to direct the video and gives it the hardcore treatment that the song deserves. Avenged Sevenfold holds up their end of the bargain as well, as the almost 15-year-old band continues to rock just as hard as they did when they came on the scene back in 1999.

"Shepherd Of Fire" was commissioned by Devin Sarno for Warner Bros. Records and can be found on the album Hail to the King.
