There was a lot of anticipation leading up to the release of Adore You by Miley Cyrus. After teasing the internet with a few Instagram videos promoting the release on December 26th, the stage was set for Miley to potentially break many of her own Vevo records that she set earlier this year with Wrecking Ball. That is, until some fuck face decided to leak the video a day early, driving a bunch of traffic to an unofficial source and ruining Mileys chance to break records. Fuck face leakers aside, the Rankin-directed Adore You is another fearlessly sexy video from an artist who has spent most of 2013 being fearless and/or sexy. We open on Miley in a bed, wearing skin-colored underwear rolling around between two white sheets. She films herself with a dated Panasonic video camera, and we occasionally get to see some full frame, grainy, black and white shots from this camera. The focus on rest of the footage is soft, even when the video moves from the bed to the bathtub, and while this might not be Mileys raciest video from this year, its definitely her most intimate.
