Using a sample from Jermaine Dupri’s 1998 song “The Party Continues,” “Dance With Me” by Le Youth ft. Dominique Young Unique feels like a modern version of a 90s dance track. The Tim Nackashi-directed video for the song is also a callback to 80s/90s vibes, set on a fashion video shoot complete with giant retro tube cameras, box TVs, and corded wall phones. Shot by Sing Howe Yam, the video plays almost like a behind the scenes video, featuring models posing in front of colorful backdrops as a fake crew records their actions. There are some great subtle effects in the video as well, like the backdrops suddenly matching the models clothes, and a frame-remaining effect that feels like a reference to Tim’s “WTF?” video for OK Go.

“Dance With Me” was produced by Ryan Kohler for Black Dog Films and can be pre-ordered now.
