Top Music Videos

Each week, FRINGE MUSIC FIX culls the latest music video releases, carefully selecting the most bizarre, provocative and remarkable videos from across the world. Sit back, relax, and open your mind’s eye, things are about to get interesting. The following are our selections for the week ending March 2nd, 2014.

A collaborative effort from emerging alt R&B outfits FKA Twigs and Inc. The video is shot in stunning black and white and features the acts employing an assortment of instruments and lounging about a home situated in a desert-like setting.

“Solo Dancing” employs a series of seemingly insignificant but entertaining scenes featuring Indiana flicking random things about, hanging out with animals and of course, taking part in a bit of “solo dancing."

“The River” stars Owen Pallet’s uncle Jim, in this entertaining story of love and revenge that features a fantastic cliffhanger of an open ending.

“We Shall Not Disappear” is a strangely arousing video that’s description will do it no justice. The video features a series of close up shots of insects and other peculiarities combined with food and close-up female nudity.

Warren Fu directs this outstanding video that captures the spirit of sister trio Haim as they emerge from the underground to become a household name. The spectacular choreography was coordinated by Fatima Robinson.

Honorable Mentions

Glass Animals - Gooey

iamamiwhoami - Hunting For Pearls

Jamie Isaac - She Dried

Khat - Nephilim

Woman’s Hour - Her Ghost
