Last month, we came across Dom’s Sketch Cast, a web series by artist Dominick Rabrun that features him simultaneously interviewing and drawing a variety of subjects, including writers, directors, and other artists. Of the cool people Dom talks to, a few have been music video directors, and after seeing his interviews with BRTHR and NORTON we decided to reach out and ask him to bring some music video stories to life.

Back in November 2013, we had Cameron Duddy on our Music Video Land podcast and he told an interesting story of how a denim jacket led to the creation of one of the most popular music videos of all time, “The Lazy Song” by Bruno Mars. We sent it over to Dom are really excited to share with you what he came up with. If you dig it, make sure to check out more of Dom’s work on his YouTube channel, and you can also hear the full interview with Cameron below the video.

Doug Klinger is the co-founder/content director of IMVDb and watches more music videos than anyone on earth. You can find him on twitter at @doug_klinger.
