I’m going to just come right out and say it, the guys in Rixton need to learn how to think with their heads and not with their hearts sometimes. Take a look at the “Me And My Broken Heart” video for example, all it takes is a pretty girl showing them just a bit of attention for every band member to individually get caught up in a poker scam, conning them each for $10,000. To give the guys a little bit of credit (just a little bit), this is a pretty elaborate scheme, complete with a fake poker game inside a boxing ring and a team of fake cops used to sell the con. Director Cameron Duddy keeps the vibe of the video fun, never allowing the stakes to get high enough to feel like the guys are in any physical danger, just that they might get taken for a few thousands bucks because they can’t resist a lady with pretty eyes. Luckily, lead singer Jake Roche has a bit more sense than the rest of the guys and is able to save them a bit of their cash, but really, they all should have known better. For shame, Rixton, for shame.

“Me And My Broken Heart” was produced by BLVD Industries and can be found on the Me And My Broken Heart EP.
