Last year, as part of Bombay Sapphire's Imagination Series, Oscar winning screenwriter Geoffrey Fletcher wrote a script with only dialogue and asked people to fill in the rest. They had the freedom to choose the setting, characters, time period, and genre, even the filmmaking technique, but they had to use the dialogue that was written by Geoffery. There were entries from 34 countries around the world, and the five most imaginative entries screened at the 2013 Tribeca Film Festival. Each of the five films were beautifully unique, and one of them, Room 8 directed by James W Griffiths, was Vimeo Staff Picked and also screened at their Staff Picks Cinema NYC in June. Check out the top five video from last year below, and visit here to learn more about this year’s competition.
