In “Cyrstaillized” by Young The Giant, director Elliott Sellers puts an intergalactic twist on the performance video by setting the band in a meteor flaying across space. By racking focus and projecting shapes and colors onto the band while they perform, Elliott is able to mimic the look of the band riding inside the giant rock spinning toward earth. The performance shots in this video are paired with some spectacular images of the meteor shooting across space and smashing into other rocks, which appear to be a combination of practical and visual effects. "Cyrstaillized" builds on a long line of fantastic videos that Elliott has directed this year that feature a combination of in camera and post-production effects, two of which can be found on our 50 best music videos of the year playlist.

“Cyrstaillized” was produced by Kimberly Stuckwisch for Doomsday Entertainment and will appear the upcoming album Mind Over Matter.
