Christina Perri fans will be able to pick up right away what is missing in the beginning of her new music video for "Human", directed by Elliott Sellers. Sitting on a white pedestal in a white room, Perri's signature tatoos are nowhere to be found as light flashes in and out and we get brief glimpses at parts of machines. After she leaves the platform and walking around, some flashes of dark replace various body parts with bionic pieces.

The track itself has a cinematic feel to it (as well as some mechanical undertones), making the clip a really fitting visualization. Sellers gives Perri enough to do without taking the focus off of her, and Perri is able to pull off an entire video that focuses almost exclusively on her performance. Perri and Sellers previously worked together on "Distance" (2012), "Something About December" (2012).

After the climax of the song, Perri's tattoos return. It's an interesting way to highlight her human side, and in the end the effect works beautifully. Also, if you're not a fan of tattoos, this video may change your mind.

The music video for "Human" was prodcued by Danielle Hinde for Doomsday Entertainment. "Human" is the lead single of of Christina Perri's upcoming album, Head or Heart, which will be available in March.
