One of our goals for 2014 is to get the information on IMVDb out into other parts of the internet. The information we collect on the site exists in bits and pieces all over, and there should be another use for it other than just on the site.
So today we're starting a beta of a feature that lets you embed information about music videos on your own site. The embed comes with a YouTube/Vimeo embed, information about the release of the video, view and share stats, and even credits. You can customized what information you'd like to display as well. Here's an example of a video embed:
This isn't available publicly yet, but if you're a blogger who blogs about music videos and would like to give this a try, please contact us and let us know. We even have a Wordpress plugin, so if you use Wordpress, we've got you covered!
Depending on how video information embeds work out, we plan on rolling out other embeds in the near future - commentaries, artists, and more. We've been using this embed on our blog for a few months, so we think you'll like it!
