The Most Popular Music Videos Released This Week (8/29)

It’s no surprise that the week after the VMAs, the most popular video features the three ladies who opened the show: Jessie J, Ariana Grande, and Nicki Minaj. Their video for “Bang Bang,” directed by Hanna Lux Davis, was a fun a stylish blockbuster that pulled in over 6.5 million views this week – more views than the other nine videos on the list combined. The girls were followed by follow VMA performer Usher, whose video “She Came To Give It To You” saw a respectable 1.3 million views this week. At the third spot is Charli XCX, who performed at the VMA pre-show and whose video for “Break The Rules” also cracked the million views mark.

As we move down the list, we get RedFoo teaming up with the Sexy Sax Man for “New ThangGrimes and her self-directed video for “Go,” and Borgeous keeping the party going with “BreatheG-Unit sits at the seventh spot this week with their politically charged “Ahhh Shit” which was made in response to the police brutality in Ferguson MO. The Weeknd helps put Toronto on the map with the NSFW “King Of The Fall” at number eight, Hoodie Allen gets cinematic with “Movie” at number nine, and Labrinth rounds out the top 10 with the motion control masterpiece “Let It Be
