LG Releases World’s First 34-Inch 21:9 UltraWide View, Perfect For Professional Video Editors

For music video editors, there is no such thing as too much screen. However, in the age of 16:9 monitors, the best solution for editors has always been to move their work onto two, sometime three monitors to get the job done. While it’s worked, this solution kind of sucks. You can’t ever truly get two monitors in front of your face at once, and the center is obscured because of the bezel of the monitors. However, it looks like LG might have provided a true solution to this issue with their new Ultrawide 34-inch 21:9 monitor, offering a wider view of your timeline without any of the drawbacks of having to use a second monitor. With tools designed to reduce import time and eye fatigue, the features offered by the 34UM95 to the video editing community might even go beyond the additional desktop space. For a bit more about the monitor, check out the video below.

More on the LG Ultrawide:

The LG 34UM95 is world’s first 34-inch 21:9 UltraWide monitor with QHD resolution (3440 x1440), it offers pin-point solutions to some of the recurring challenges professional video editors go through in their digital studio. It is the only bezel-free, pixel-packed screen space that can be dubbed as “UltraWide.” Designed to fully operate with the New Mac Pro, the monitor comes with two Thunderbolt™ 2 slots giving four times faster speed boost than the current cable-based connectivity speed (USB 3.0) on the market. It also offers a flicker-safe function, and its Reader Mode automatically modifies harmful blue lights into softer tones so that looking at screens is no more tiring than reading a book.
