New Release: Tune-Yards "Water Fountain" Directed by Joel Kefali

Tune-Yards' video for "Water Fountain" is what do you get when you mix director Joel Kefali, lead singer Merrill Garbus, and the soul of Pee-Wee’s Playhouse into a music video. Vibrant, fun, and full of fantastic animation, “Water Fountain” seems aesthetically and tonally inspired by Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, but is able to establish its own unique world while pulling in nostalgic children’s programming elements like talking furniture and lots and lot of dancing. In classic kids’ show fashion, “Water Fountain” really packs in the fun, with puppets, balloons, and animate clouds at every turn, and is the perfect compliment for the quirky, high-energy track.

“Water Fountain” was produced by Ian Blair and John Curtis for Doomsday Entertainment and can be found on the album Nikki Nack.
