The Most Popular Music Videos Released This Week (10/17)

What is a music video? That’s one of mankind's oldest quandaries. One that we grapple with every day here at IMVDb.

“Is this a music video or a lyric video?”

”Is this a music video or a live performance?”

”Is this a music video or just a man dancing in his living room to a Nelly song?”

Sometimes the answer is unclear. Luckily, when it comes to the most popular music videos of the week, there is hardly a dispute. That’s because that list is made up of numbers and fact, and as they say, facts are stubborn things. So what video was the most popular this week? It was “Telegraph Ave ("Oakland" By Lloyd)” by Childish Gambino, directed by Hiro Murai. This video not only continues Hiro and Bino’s series of collaborations, it also continues Hiro’s run of just straight killing the game this year.

You’ll find a lot of fun stuff in the rest of the list below, and even more fun in this playlist of the top 25 most popular videos of the week. I’d love to stick around and break down all 25 videos for you, but I’m late for Applebee’s as usual. See you tomorrow!
