Standard Credit Format

The intake of credit data into IMVDb is as automated as possible, and you can format your credit data to help with that automation and get your video moderated quicker.

The format has two basic guidelines:

• One credit per line
• Position first, followed by a separator

So for instance, this is a properly formatted credit and is easily readable by the IMVDb intake system:

Executive Producer: John Smith

This format is less readable by the system:

John Smith was the Executive Producer

In the case of multiple people for the same position, please list them on different lines:

Producer: John Smith Producer: Adam Smith

This format is less readable by the system:

Producers: John Smith, Adam Smith

The separators currently recognized by the sytem are:
