Managing Pages

If you represent or are an artist, individual, band, or company with a page on IMVDb, you can request to manage it, allowing you to make updates to the page and linking your user account with a verified identity. You can also manage more than one page on IMVDb.

Why Manage an IMVDb Page?

Once you manage an IMVDb page, you can upload a picture, write a short bio, edit the page's links, and in the case of production companies and record labels, promote the page on IMVDb.

Managing a page also lets IMVDb moderators know that you have a verified identity, which makes moderating your submissions faster.

Who Can Manage an IMVDb Page

In the case of page representating individuals, the page manager should be the person represented on the page. So, the only person who should manage the page for director John Smith is John Smith himself.

In the case of artists and bands, the manager should be someone who represents the band via direct management or participation in the band.

For companies, the manager should be someone who works at the company and has the authorization to manage the page on IMVDb.

Verification

The following serve as common verification for managing an IMVDb page:

  • A verified email from an official website of the entity represented on the page.
  • A DM or @ reply to @theimvdb from an official twitter account of the entity represented on the page.
  • An instance of your user account email listed on an official site or page if the entity represented on the page.

Although these are most common, if you require an alternative method of verification, please let us know in the comments box provided when you request to manage the page.

If you submit a request to manage a page and we accept your request without requesting additional information from you, we have most likely used your email address to cross verify with one of our internal verification methods.
