When we started FilmedInsert in late 2010, it was a pretty simple side project that mainly set up for fun. Fast forward almost two years, and a lot has happened. FilmedInsert has gotten much more complex and much more compelling as a concept for a website. But, in the end, it was still a side project.

The problem with side projects is that they need to be relatively simple in order to be successful. FilmedInsert is a large, complex project that needs some real love and attention to thrive. Anything else just isn't going to cut it.

That's why, we're very happy to announce that beginning August 16th, FilmedInsert is no longer a side project for us. That's right, we're jumping right in and making it our full time gig! We're really excited about it.

So what does this mean for site visitors and fans of music videos? It means that a huge list of features that have been simmering at half-baked levels are getting polished off for release. If you put your name onto the beta list, you'll be getting an email very soon to test all the fun things we've got lined up.

If we have learned one thing from our experiences over the last few years, it's this: the music video industry is changing and growing - fast. We believe there is a place on the web for FilmedInsert, and we're ready to get going.
