Today we reached 9,000 music videos that are listed on IMVDb (We like to celebrate every 1,000).
Do we have a lot of work to do? We definitely do. However, this milestone is a special one, since this is the first 1K milestone we've reached where a portion of the videos were submitted to the database by contributors. This was not an insignificant portion either - it was 40%. We're extremely happy about that.
From a technical standpoint, the video adder was something we spent a lot of internal time on. It was an important first step of interactivity with users, and an important step towards the next round of interactive database tools we're getting ready to launch in the very near future. Mostly, it's been a lot of fun to see an ever-increasing number of music videos being submitted to IMVDb every day.
So thank you very much to the early adopters who are adding videos to IMVDb, helping us with the occasional question about your submission, and providing feedback. We're really excited that you've put some faith in IMVDb as a tool, we've got much more in store, and trust us when we say 9,000 is just the beginning.
