An important part of running a database is taking care of incorrect data that makes its way into our system. Up until now, we've been relying on people emailing us to let us know what is wrong, but today we're happy to announce a new system for reporting issues on videos. We're leaving it simple and just calling it "IMVDb Issues".

Every video page now has a link that says "Report an issue with this video":

If you are logged in, clicking it will reveal a window that allows you to specify what kind of issue you are reporting.

We've tried to identify some of the most common issues that are reported on videos so you don't need to spell that out to us. Click on one, and it'll give you a chance to enter your own information to help us fix the issue. If you are reporting incorrect credits, for instance, this is where you'd tell us which ones are incorrect.

Issues only have two states: open and closed. An IMVDb moderator will follow up with questions using our new comment system (if necessary), and then close the issue when it has been resolved.

You can find all your submitted issues (closed and open) your account section.

Next time you see something wrong in the database, make sure to file an issue!
