Out of the many things that social media has changed, music video production is definitely on the list. While most films require some amount of on-set secrecy, most of the time you can find pictures and video from a music video set from crew and the artists themselves. Even if it's just a teaser, pictures and video from a music video set are usually out there.
Today we're rolling out a new emphasis on Behind the Scenes material on IMVDb by allowing users to submit Instragram photos, Vines, and YouTube/Vimeo clips to be listed in a visual gallery of Behind the Scenes content. You can click/tap on each item to see the image to see it full size or play it.
We're moderating this content for now, and starting on Monday, users managing IMVDb pages with qualifying credits on videos will be able to directly add content to the Behind the Scenes section without going through the moderation process (just like credits).
To add something, go to the video page and click "Add Behind the Scenes Media" under the "Credits" section. To add a video, Vine, or Instragram photo, you just need to provide the URL.
While this is a much more visible way of hosting the many behind the scenes shorts that come along with videos, we'd love to see this used on productions that are listed in production so fans can keep tabs on what's going on with a video as its being made. So gather up your Vines, videos, and pictures and add them to your in production and released videos!
