The leaked version of Kanye West’s “Black Skinhead” music video, which was spread around the internet pretty freely yesterday, is apparently not the official version. “The BLKKK SKKKN HD video that leaked yesterday was not the official version,” Kanye tweeted. That’s pretty much as definitive as Kanye gets. And, since Kanye is kinda known for deleting tweets, we took a screen shot, so the proof can live forever.

It’s important to note that this is Kanye West we’re talking about, who is also kinda known for his “advanced marketing tactics,” so it’s very possible that this leak wasn’t really a mistake, and that Kanye is tweeting “FUK YOU!” to himself, but all of that is just a bit too meta for us to wrap our heads around. How different will the “official” version be? I guess we’ll have to wait a few more days to find out. Until then, Kanye would like you to stop watching the other version. Or maybe he really wants you to watch it, so he's saying he doesn't want you to watch it. Who really knows?
