Lawrence Rothman

Lawrence Rothman was the first artist signed to Mamaroma Records, the record label curated by director Floria Sigismondi. The video for his debut single, "Montauk Fling," was directed by Floria and features Lawrence dressed as Elizabeth Taylor while dancing provocatively around a hotel room. When the video premiered months ago, many blogs accompanied the post with a photo of a severely beaten up Lawrence, with large cuts across his face and a swollen eye and nose. As it turns out, that images comes from his latest video, "#1 All Time Low," which was again directed by Floria.

The video begins with Lawrence staggering down the street, clearly in both physical and emotional pain. He arrives to an apartment where he is soon joined by three attractive, cool people who seem to ignore his injuries as they dance around and on top of him. "#1 All Time Low" premiered on the Huffington Post, and was called "the creepiest music video of all time" in their tweet of the article. In the article, Lawrence describes the video as "me trying to do away with my adult jaded, cynical, self and push through a rebirth of sorts or a actually a reintroduction to my inner 'tween spirit'."

"#1 All Time Low" was produced by Coleen Haynes for Block Dog Films and is the B-side of the "Montauk Fling" single.
