New Release: Paris Hilton "Good Time" ft. Lil Wayne, Directed by Hannah Lux Davis

Paris Hilton has been full of surprises over the last few years. Perfumes and handbag lines aside, she made her DJ debut in 2012 at the Pop Music Festival in Brazil, and then appeared in a 3D K-Pop music video later on that year. In May, she signed with Cash Money Records, and now we now finally have a look at her first music video under her new label: "Good Time".
Directed by frequent Cash Money director Hannah Lux Davis, the video for "Good Time" takes place in and around a pretty good place to have a good time (a party). It's a pool party, more specifically, which gives Paris Hilton the chance to show off a number of bathing suits, including a one-piece covered in spikey jewels that is one of the visual centerpieces of the video.
One moment that caught me off guard was the sudden appearance of a giant robot at this party. Apparently this robot is called Kryoman and is definitely a robot you would know if you frequent places where giant robots are likely to pop up out of nowhere. Kryoman adds a really interesting element to this video, turning what is a relatively normal party into a party with a giant robot shooting smoke everywhere, and it looks awesome.
As soon as you hear the lighter flint and the first puff, you know Lil Wayne is coming up. He doesn't appear at the party itself, but instead delivers his verse from a stairwell where he and Birdman do their part to support the new Cash Money signee. Not that Hilton needs it - Hannah Lux Davis makes sure that Paris never looks anything but great, and Hilton genuinely seems to be enjoying her first music video in a few years. (The again, with Kryoman around, who wouldn't have a good time unles you were scared of giant light up robots?)
Another side note: The throw pillows with Hilton's face on them - featued in Sophia Coppola's The Bling Ring - make an appearance in the video (they are in the bubble chair she is seen sitting around mid-way through).
The video for "Good Time" was produced by Brandon Bonfiglio for London Alley Entertainment. "Good Time" will be on her upcoming 2014 album.
