Capturing the energy and vibrant colors of a street market, "Light Me Up" by Birdy is a fun and mischievous video directed by Sophie Muller. 17-year-old singer/songwriter continues her sting of collaborations with the music video legend, and the video builds on the style and thematic elements established in their previous collaborations. Opening with Birdy walking slowly down an empty street in a large coat, we cut between shots of a handsome dude who is also in an overcoat walking down a similar street. The music swells and we see the dude begin to run, he suddenly appears behind Birdy and playfully grabs her by the hand. The two eventually end up at a market that’s lit primarily by blinking lights attached to the shops (Bridy and her gentleman caller are no longer wearing their coats). This is the coolest market ever, with all kinds of food literally hanging from the ceiling, like popcorn, cotton candy, even bagels! The duo frolics around the market, knocking into the hanging food, throwing flowers around, and having lots of fun potentially at the shop owners’ expense.

"Light Me Up" was produced by Black Dog Films and can be found on the upcoming album Fire Within.
