New Release: Grizfolk "The Struggle" Directed by Keith Musil

"The Struggle" by Grizfolk, directed by Keith Musil, tells the story of a vigilante grizzly bear emotionally wreaking havoc on everyone he comes in contact with. While most people will realize that in real life this is actually an actor in a bear costume, it isn’t clear for most of the video whether we’re supposed to watch this as if it’s a real bear, or a dude in a bear suit. He has some human mannerisms, but also some bear ones, and he seems to live outside. But also, this is clearly an animatronic costume, and since the video itself feels pretty rooted in reality, it's hard not to see it for what it actually is.

Initially we find the bear doing things that most of us would find menacing, like stumbling through someone’s pop-tent or breaking into a house and eating all their food. Eventually the bear starts doing things we’re cool with, like attacking a peeping tom trying to watch a lady shower. The bear’s antics ultimately land him on the news, and it’s only a matter of time before the fuzz catches up to him, delivering an ending that is either expected or unexpected, depending on what you were expecting.

"The Struggle" was produced by Jason Colon for Doomsday Entertainment and can be found on the From the Spark EP.
