Holy cow, you guys, what a week for music videos. So much cool stuff to talk about, starting first, of course, with Miley Cyrus and her video for "Wrecking Ball," directed by Terry Richardson. Everyone and their mom knew about this video (literally - my mom came up to me on Monday and asked me about this video). And with 75 million views, they all watched it, too. This video broke all kinds of Vevo recrods (although I think Psy still has it beat in all the YouTube records) and pretty much solidifies Miley as the biggest pop star on the planet right now based on our calculations. But this week wasn't just about Miley, Eminem's video for "Berzerk," directed by Syndrome, rang up over 10 million views, a number that would have been good for the top spot pretty much any other week of the year. Arcade Fire's "Reflektor," directed by Anton Corbijn, comes in at #5 this week, although this might not even be the most popular video for that song released on Monday, as their interactive video directed by Vincent Morissette got much more press than the Corbijn version, but doesn't provide any view counts. This really was a huge week for music videos, though, and there were a lot more than 10 high profile vids released. If there was any week to check out the full top 25 playlist, it would be this one.
