The Most Popular Music Videos Released This Week (4/18)

Hi. Good to see you again. It's Friday, so we're looking at the most popular videos that were released this week. This is the last thing I have to write before I go to Applebee's and meet up with some friends to order a Chicken and Shrimp Tequila Tango. Just kidding, I'll be eating alone.

This week we had some interesting videos on the list. At the top is Alicia Keys' The Amazing Spider-Man 2 promo tie in video for "It's On Again," which features Keys, Hans Zimmer, Pharrell, and Kendrick Lamar performing in a circle to each other towards the end of the video. That's right, Hans Zimmer is actually in this video, if only for a few seconds. This is possibly a new milestone for rockstar composers. Directors - let's get this guy a featured music video role. He looks like he came to play/conduct.

Elsewhere on the list, if you look closely, two music videos both open with product placement for Beats Music, an online streaming music app/site - "We Dem Boyz" and "Surfboard." Also, Eif Rivera continues his 50 Cent video marathon with "Hustler."

Then there is "Symphony No 9." If you were surprised to see 19th century Czech composer Antonin Dvorak on the list with a music video featuring a twerking Korean dance team, then I feel sorry for you. Open your mind to more possibilities. We all saw it coming. That video is part of an effort to release classic music with modern music videos. Note the "Gangnam Style" location.

Well, I've got to get to Applebee's for my Chicken and Shrimp Tequila Tango. If you're not going somewhere cool like me, then you've got time to check out the top 25 videos and our podcast where we talk about some of these videos.
