NORTON

Shot in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, "Elevate" by St. Lucia follows the band as they’re evicted from their apartment and decide to throw one final party/rooftop concert before they have to leave. NORTON, who directed the video, is currently an LA based director, but spent most of the last decade living in New York, and he and DP Jackson Hunt do a great job in finding the character of the city and highlighting it in the video. The video is filled with New Yorkers, who show up at the party as well as in more natural settings playing dominos, break dancing, and cooling off with a fire hydrant around Williamsburg. NORTON takes the time to focus directly on many of the people that they encounter on the street, and has them look into the camera, allowing each of them to feel like a part of the video and not just part of the scenery. The video ends with the band performing rooftop in front of the Williamsburg Bridge, showing us that all you need is to be super talented musicians and have lots of awesome friends to get over being evicted.

"Elevate" was produced by Dave Brody for Doomsday Entertainment and can be downloaded as a single now.
