The Most Popular Music Videos Released This Week (11/8)

If you weren’t one of the 250 thousand people to watch the inaugural YouTube Music Awards live (or the 1.5 million to have watched it since it aired), you missed one wacky show full of improvisation, babies, and live music videos. And of those live music videos, five of them end up on the list of the most popular music videos of the week. And I think that’s just great. Great for Eminem, Avicii, Arcade Fire, Lindsey Stirling, and Earl Sweatshirt. Great for you guys. What’s even greater, both in greatness and in numbers, is the over 23 million people that watched one One Direction video. That’s a lot of people. That’s more than twice as many views as all the other music videos that came out this week combined – you can even throw in the YTMAs. That’s wacky! Wacker than an unscripted internet award show, that’s for sure. The music videos that came out of the YTMAs were all still pretty great, though.
